Provenance
Lot EssayThis iconic hat was utilized for the 1972 film Cabaret, directed and choregraphed by Bob Fosse. As a complement to the tailcoat of the emcee, this bedazzled hat is the cherry on top of the decadent meditation on riches during the number 'Money Money', performed by the Emcee and Sally Bowles portrayed by Liza Minnelli. The façade that money can solve any of life's problems is just as much of a sham as the integrity of the 'jewels' on this trick hat.
